Whew looks like a false alarm. Even though it was all locked down at least it was nothing.
Virginia Tech police say there were no gunshots fired on campus.
Authorities locked down a dorm Thursday afternoon after two people reported hearing something that sounded like gunfire.
A spokesman said the sounds may have come from a construction site nearby.
In 2007, 32 people were killed by a gunman on campus who later killed himself.
